Melanie is an exhibition project in a cubicle in the administrative office of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The project aims to bring contemporary art into active conversation with an institution dedicated to memorializing the victims of the attacks of 9/11 and to presenting the complex history of the World Trade Center site. Melanie’s exhibitions will highlight artists whose work offers new ways of thinking about this site and the post-9/11 world we inhabit. The views and opinions expressed in the exhibition space as well as archived online are the artists’ own and do not necessarily reflect the position of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Melanie is programmed by Joe Graham-Felsen.
